Child Development, Early Warning Signs and Early Intervention: Birth to Five
This course will orient you with developmental milestones of children from birth to five. It will tell you what children should be doing at a certain age. What if your child, your student or your neighbor’s child is not exhibiting the skills they are “supposed” to already have? I will walk you through the “red flags” of child development, so you will be aware when there should be a concern. Once a concern has been identified, Early Intervention is the key. A brief view on federal laws regarding Early Intervention that are available to you will also be discussed.
