Intoduction to Film Production I
Are you an aspiring film director? Do you ever wonder how the pros do it? Then forget about home movies and register for Intro to Film Production I & II. Through lively discussion and step by step instruction, this course will lead you through the various phases of pre-production, production and post-production.
Part I of the course will focus on the theory and technique behind developing a topic, writing a script, planning, scheduling, directing etc. along with all the technical knowledge needed for actual filming. Students will be guided along the way so they will have a clear understanding of shots and transitions, visual composition, lighting, audio etc. At the end of this module, students are expected to shoot footage for an eventual 2-4 minute short film. At this point, students may choose stop here or register for Part II of the course.
